WORKS ON BLACK

These works are done with gum arabic or gel medium on black paper - a further exploration of work I began in 2011. The lines appears visible to the eye from certain angles and disappears from the eye at other angles… This fleeting affect into and out of clarity is meant as a reflection of the longing that touches our hearts at times; looking for connection to something beyond the mundane. Looking, longing, reaching, wondering, asking.
